The seven priority projects identified by the Roundtable reflect private development, city rezonings, and affordable housing/mixed-use projects across the Bronx. Given the urgency of responding quickly to neighborhood rezoning, the Roundtable began by identifying a set of rezoning challenges and determined initial strategies. This set of conversations and working sessions has informed the latest iteration of a collective, Bronx-wide set of strategies for development without displacement. The tracking tool strengthens the Roundtable’s coordination capacity by enabling the Roundtable as a whole to be on the same page and aligned for action on projects that could affect multiple groups. This also encourages groups to show up for one another when a key event is happening for a priority project in one group’s neighborhood. These are critical trust-building moments that can lead to coalition formation.
